About us

Hello! I’m Sally Hardy and together with my lovely friend Charlotte, we established East Surrey Slings in 2015. Charlotte has now stepped away from the day to day running of East Surrey Slings, but she and volunteer Helen are often around as baby holders and tea/coffee makers at our sessions! I am passionate about supporting families to carry in whatever way works for them. I have three children and know just how powerful a tool slings can be in managing the chaos of family life.

Trained, experienced expertise

I have been supporting families to carry for over 11 years and have undertaken formal training with multiple babywearing schools. I keep up to date with continuous professional development events across the country and am aware of carrier and brand developments through professional networks. I have experience in a range of different special circumstances, am insured to provide tailored professional support, and can work outside of manufacturer’s guidelines. I wear several parent support “hats” as well as being a sling consultant, so you may also come across me supporting with infant feeding through local services.

Approachable, friendly support

I can support you, whatever your carrying goals are. I am here to listen and support as well as to help you learn new skills. I recognise that parenthood is a rollercoaster that comes with many vulnerable stages and I will provide a non-judgemental service that meets you wherever you are at that moment.

Across East Surrey

I am based in Smallfield near Horley, in the very East of Surrey and support families in the surrounding areas of Reigate, Redhill, Merstham, Crawley, Caterham, East Grinstead and beyond. If you are happy to travel to Smallfield for a consultation, and return any slings you borrow in person or by post, I can and will support you. You’ll find details of drop-in and clinic locations via our session page.

I’m looking forward to meeting you – get in touch today!
